As an L2 Network Engineer, you’ll be an escalation point for complex network issues across regional datacenters and customer sites ensuring robust, secure, and highly available connectivity in one of India’s fastest-growing tech hubs.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

 Provide advanced (Tier-2) support for escalated network incidents—LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, firewall, load-balancer issues.

 Design, configure, and maintain network devices: routers, switches (L2/L3), wireless APs/controllers, firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto), and SD-WAN.

 Implement routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, STP/RSTP, QoS, NAT, IPsec/SSL VPNs, MPLS, etc.

 Monitor network performance (throughput, latency, packet loss), investigate anomalies, and resolve complex issues.

 Participate in network infrastructure projects—migrations, upgrades, new site setups, cloud integrations.

 Maintain network documentation: configurations, topology diagrams, change logs, incident reports.

 Collaborate with L1 teams, cloud, server, security, and vendor partners; escalate to L3 or vendor support as needed.

 Perform root-cause analysis, implement fixes to reduce recurring incidents, and propose proactive improvements.

 Contribute to DR exercises, security audits, and infrastructure hardening.

 Participate in rotation-based after-hours support and on-call duty.

🎓 Required Skills & Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

 4–8 years of network engineering or administration experience.

 Certifications like CCNA/CCNP (or equivalent from Juniper/Checkpoint) required; CCIE, JNCIE, or security certs a plus.

 Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 networking: VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS.

 Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Meraki, or equivalent vendors.

 Skilled in configuring: firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, wireless controllers, SD-WAN solutions.

 Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, tcpdump).

 Familiarity with cloud-based networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, GCP network) preferred.  Knowledge of automation and scripting (Ansible, Python, Terraform) is highly desirable.

 Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

 Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across global teams.

 Detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks; proactive in continuous learning and documentation.
