Job Description

Position: Senior Merchandiser – Textiles – Soft Homes

Position Type: Permanent

Experience: Up to 10 years of relevant experience in fabric

Location: Gurugram

Skills: Developing and implementing procurement strategies and processes, raw materials markets, trends, and development (Detailed description mentioned below)

Roles And Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies and processes for raw materials to meet business requirements (closest to final needlepoint and ensure continuity of supply.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain favorable terms, conditions, and pricing
• Work with internal stakeholders to establish and monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with suppliers for quality and on-time delivery.
• Lead supplier performance reviews, provide technical experience and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Monitor and report on key raw materials market trends, including pricing, supply, and demand.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards.
  
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion and Textiles Studies, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or other related disciplines
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing procurement strategies and processes
• Deep understanding of raw materials markets, trends and development
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Proven track record of driving supplier performance to meet business objectives
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other procurement software
• Candidates from Delhi-NCR will be preferred.
