Job Description

The Senior MEP Design Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and supervising Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for building projects such as hospitals, commercial buildings, residential complexes, and industrial facilities. The role includes design development, technical coordination, compliance with codes and standards, and support during construction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare design drawings for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
  • Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing.
  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other engineering teams.
  • Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and BOQs.
  • Ensure designs follow codes and standards (NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IS).
  • Provide technical support during construction and site inspections.
  • Guide junior engineers and draftsmen.


Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 5+ years experience in MEP design.
  • Experience in hospital projects and medical gas systems is a plus


Required Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and BIM coordination
  • Knowledge of HVAC load calculation software (HAP / Elite)
  • Strong understanding of MEP codes and standards
  • Project coordination and leadership skills
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities
