Qualifications

• Experience: 7–10 years in mechanical design and development for housings, plumbing assemblies, or electro-mechanical products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling & 2D drawings; working knowledge of SolidWorks Sheetmetal, SolidWorks PDM, and related product release workflows.
• Hands-on experience in machined, injection molded, die-cast, and stamped components, along with sheet metal, plastics, fixturing, and tooling development.
• Strong understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical system behaviour.
• Working knowledge of Creo, basic AutoCAD or DraftSight editing, and Autodesk Revit family creation for BIM is preferred.
• Practical understanding of DFM/DFA, tolerance stack-up, prototype development, testing, and collaboration with fabrication or machine shop teams.
• Practical understanding of DFM/DFA, tolerance stack-up, materials selection, prototype development, testing, and design validation including thermal, stress, and vibration considerations.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing layouts and electrical wiring integration in electro-mechanical products is required.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• CAD / PLM: SolidWorks 3D, SolidWorks PDM, Creo, AutoCAD or DraftSight, Autodesk Revit
• Documentation / ERP: DocuWare, Epicor
• Advanced SolidWorks Capabilities: Sheetmetal, PCB Connector, Animation, detailed drawing creation
• Prototype & Shop Tools: 3D printers, CNC, drill press, sheet metal presses / forms / stamps
• Test Equipment: Environmental chamber, Vibration and other mechanical validation equipment
• Product Domains: Mechanical housings, plumbing systems, electro-mechanical assemblies, fixtures, tooling, Building Information Modelling (BIM) content
