Ports & SEZ: Over the past few years, we have evolved from a traditional port operator to a leading integrated ports services provider. As the largest port organization for the past two decades, we offer a wide range of services including cargo handling, container terminal operations, logistics, port infrastructure development, and maintenance. Our expertise extends to multimodal transport solutions, customs clearance, port security, and environmental sustainability, positioning us as a key player in global trade and logistics.

Job Purpose: Head - Stores - Large Site manages timely receipt of material/ packages, proper storage, accounting and timely issuance to relevant user departments as per requirements. Responsible for classification, storage and liquidation of waste and scrap as per defined guidelines.

Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

Define SOPs and guidelines for store management, inventory control and scrap management

Contribute to the design and implementation of standard systems/templates/ processes for inventory management

Store Management

Manage the receipts of inbound material and ensure proper documentation for procured materials. Ensure all purchasing, storage, and customer billing processes comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS).

Contract Management

Regularly review and improve contractual frameworks to ensure operational efficiency and risk mitigation. Monitor and enforce compliance with established purchasing and inventory management standards.

Asset Management

Lead the process of identification and liquidation of non-moving inventory (NMI).

Arrange approval of asset-scrapping or asset write-off as required.

Quality Assurance

Oversee inventory deployment and track materials issued to end-users, ensuring timely and quality deliveries.

Risk Management

Provide support in evaluation and prioritization of the identified risks on their likelihood, impact and controllability.

Contribute to the preparation of risk mitigation plan and update of the category risk register.

People Management

Set goals, review performance, and provide feedback to team members to foster a motivated and high-performing team.

Identify and address development needs, creating Individual Development Plans (IDP) aligned with functional focus areas.

Brand Positioning

Ensure Adani's brand values are shown in all interactions. Strengthen relationships to boost the organization's brand and trust within the market and company.

Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Team Development

Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success.

Qualifications

Education Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in science, commerce, supply chain management, business administration or related area. Prefer certificate or diploma in inventory/materials management

Work Experience

More than 14 years of experience in managing stores, inventory management and scrap management. Experienced in managing small to mid-size teams for more than 3 years
