Primary Responsibilities

Leading a team to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve software with an AI-first mindset
Partnering with business leadership to manage user stories and project commitments within an agile framework, ensuring rapid delivery of value to customers
Mentoring the engineering team to perform at their highest potential
Owning the application technology stack and driving modern, AI-powered solutions to complex problems

Required Qualifications

Core Experience & Engineering Skills

11+ years of hands-on experience delivering engineering solutions on complex platforms.
1+ months of experience developing AI-powered solutions using no-code, low-code, and advanced platforms, translating business needs into scalable applications.
Solid understanding of software engineering processes, including:

GenAI
Design patterns
Algorithms and data structures
Schemas and queries
System design
Unit testing and code reviews
Agile and DevOps practices

Architecture, Cloud & DevOps

2+ years of hands-on experience with production cloud environments (public or private).
Experience with teams leveraging:

CI/CD tools
REST API development
Serverless architecture
Containerization
Infrastructure as code
Public and private cloud environments
Web applications and web services
Application observability
Messaging/stream architecture

Leadership & Communication

2+ years of previous IT leadership experience.
Experience leading multiple cross-functional teams, including:

Solution Design
Development
Quality Engineering
DevOps

Proven excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a global team with a positive spirit.
Proven solid communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Technical Skill Requirements

Java & Enterprise Technologies
12+ years of Java/J2EE experience.
Solid experience with:

Linux and Linux-based tools
Designing software solutions and architecture
Applying design patterns
Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Proficiency in:

Struts
Spring / Spring Boot
JSP
JSF
Hibernate
JMS
Webservices
JUnit or equivalent frameworks
PL/SQL and relational databases

DevOps & Tooling

Familiarity with DevOps tools such as:

Hudson
Jenkins
Travis CI
Maven
ANT

Modern Platforms & Frameworks

Knowledge of:

Java
AKS
