Job Description

Purpose


This role has a dual focus of people and functional leadership to:

  • Provide senior capability leadership for ECOM Product Owners and Business Analysts in the NAB Global Innovation Centre, accountable for governance, workforce planning, and capability maturity.
  • Ensure sustainable BA and PO capability uplift, building consistent standards, skills, and practices aligned to NAB Ways of Working and ECOM priorities.
  • Act as the primary offshore–onshore connector to support delivery of business outcomes. Aligning capability supply with delivery demand to optimise deployment and reduce skill gaps. Removing blockers and escalating issues as needed.
  • Influence how customer and stakeholder needs are translated into product outcomes, shaping aligned priorities across squads and sub‑domains.
  • Establish a high‑performing, customer‑obsessed culture where analysis and product decisions are driven by customer needs and experience outcomes.
  • Enable consistent, high‑quality delivery by maintaining alignment across product, technology, and domain teams through strong functional leadership.

Experience

  • Leadership and Industry Experience : Requires proven leadership in BA and PO teams within complex, large-scale organizations, preferably financial services.
  • In-depth understanding of Financial Products, processes and systems
  • Creativity and simplifying complex processes and issues, problem solving and analysis
  • Track record of building consensus among senior stakeholders, balancing strategic objectives and squad capacity to ensure delivery integrity and minimize rework risk.
  • Agile Framework Expertise : Deep knowledge of agile methodologies including Scrum, SAFe and human-centered design supporting BA and PO execution.
  • Ability to communicate a product vision to key stakeholders and teams and guide offshore POs and BAs to develop it into a shaped backlog of key epics stories and goals for individual sprints.
  • Capability Uplift and Enablement : Designs and executes skill bootcamps, certification pathways, and communities of practice for continuous improvement.
  • Includes people management, change leadership, stakeholder influence, data-driven decisions.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration grounded in customer advocacy, ensuring POs, BAs and exec stakeholders co-create experiences that resonate with customers.
