Job Title: Backend Developer

1. Roles & Responsibilities

• Work as a Backend Developer focused primarily on Java-based backend development.
• Contribute to the end‑to‑end backend pipeline that analyzes user‑generated content on LinkedIn and detects malicious or inappropriate content.
• Handle debugging, root-cause analysis (RCA), and production issue resolution as part of the support responsibilities.
• Potentially work on CICD pipeline setup and deployment-related tasks when needed.
• Collaborate individually on assigned modules/projects (team works mostly individually, not as a single pod).

2. Tools & Technical Skills Required

Must-Have Skills

• Java (Backend Development) – core requirement.
• Distributed Systems – strong understanding required.
• Databases – MySQL, NoSQL experience expected.

Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills

• Experience handling production issues and performing RCA.
• Exposure to CICD pipelines and deployments.
• Scripting (automation scripts) – preferred but not mandatory.
• Documentation skills (e.g., Confluence) appreciated for RCA and debugging workflows.

Frameworks

• Any Java framework is acceptable; the team mostly uses Spring internally.

3. Day-to-Day Tasks

• Participate in backend development tasks aligned with project requirements.
• Work independently on assigned modules within the trust engineering ecosystem.
• Support ongoing systems by debugging issues, performing RCA, and resolving production problems.
• Occasionally contribute to CICD, deployment improvements, or auto‑remediation scripts.

4. Manager’s Expectations

• Candidate should be able to independently contribute to complex backend systems and distributed pipelines.
• Should balance development + support (approx. 80/20 acceptable per discussion).
• Be reliable for RCA, debugging, and production stability work.
