What You Will Own

As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining production and cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), application performance tuning, containerized environments, and Linux administration.

Experience You Should Bring

• Prior experience managing multiple cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong skills in handling Linux servers.
• Knowledge of web servers like Apache, Nginx, and Tomcat.
• Hands on experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, and managing container-based applications.
• Hands-on experience in managing and optimizing MySQL or MariaDB databases.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Nagios, ELK stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Understanding of how to improve the performance of cloud systems, applications, and databases.
• Ability to write scripts using Bash or Python and work with automation tools.
• Good understanding of network protocols like DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, LDAP, FTP, SMTP, and SNMP.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage and maintain cloud systems on AWS, Azure, and GCP to ensure they run smoothly and can handle growth.
• Install, set up, and improve applications like Apache, Tomcat, Nginx, Python web apps, and Kafka.
• Set up and manage Kubernetes and Docker for running applications in containers.
• Keep systems and applications running properly by monitoring performance and fixing issues.
• Improve application and cloud system performance to make them work better and reduce costs.
• Manage and secure Linux operating systems to keep them stable and safe.
• Handle database management for MySQL, MariaDB, and other databases.
• Set up and manage monitoring tools like Nagios, ELK stack, Prometheus, and Grafana for system health and alerts.
• Work with development and DevOps teams to improve software release processes.
• Follow security rules, ensure compliance, and plan for disaster recovery.
• Automate routine tasks using scripts and management tools.
• Analyse IT systems and solve technical issues efficiently.
• Manage IT budgets.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for software, hardware, internet, and telephone system support.
