Senior Frontend Engineer (Angular)

The Role

Our client is a global leader in designing, manufacturing, and supplying high-value communication terminals and solutions for broadband, audio/video, and energy markets, serving service operators and end users worldwide. Key areas of focus include broadband gateways (modems and routers) and smart meters for energy consumption.

We are seeking talented Frontend Engineers to contribute to a project that involves continuing development of a presence logging monitoring system used in large-scale public procurement and construction projects. The system logs who is present at the construction site and provides authentication and access rights for entering specific sections of the site, maintaining detailed records of all individuals entering for workplace safety and transparency.

What you will do

• Upgrade the existing Angular project from v12 to v20, ensuring compatibility and stability.
• Refactor legacy code to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Implement new features based on provided user stories, following best practices.
• Collaborate with the team to review requirements and provide technical input.
• Develop and maintain unit and end-to-end (e2e) tests to ensure product quality.
• Work with Dockerized environments for development and deployment.
• Ensure code is clean, reusable, and well-documented according to coding standards.
  
  

Requirements

• Strong experience with Angular (v12+), ideally with exposure to version upgrades.
• Proficiency in Angular Material for building responsive, accessible UI components.
• Solid knowledge of RxJS for reactive programming.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, SCSS, and CSS best practices.
• Familiarity with npm package management.
• Experience working with Docker for containerized development.
• Fluent English and Hungarian language skills.
  
  

Nice To Have Skills

• Experience writing unit tests with Jasmine/Karma.
• Knowledge of Cypress for end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with nginx for hosting Angular applications.
• Previous experience with project migrations, refactoring, or modernizing Angular apps.
