Senior Financial Analyst

Description

As a Financial Analyst II, you will closely work with business and finance leaders to develop financial models for both short and long term business and financial goals, evaluate new business opportunities, and drive business initiatives for projects with strategic significance and high exposure. Additional responsibilities include weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of financial performance and ad-hoc business analysis support. This role requires a self-starter and independent individual with strong financial modeling abilities, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.

The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This is a high visibility role, working across multiple teams in Amazon. The individual will have regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon, and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, this role requires strong business sense and capability to independently drive business partnership.

The Advertiser Success Team (AST) is a dedicated team within Amazon Advertising that drives advertiser success across both the Large Customer Sales (LCS) and Global Growth Sales (GGS) segments. We work with advertisers on their search and display (managed and self service) campaigns enabling success through our optimization and campaign management services that include adding KWs, ASINs, review budget, and provide campaign strategies aligned to advertiser goals." The team supports a broad suite of ad products — including Sponsored Products (SP), Sponsored Brands (SB), Sponsored Display (SD), and Managed Display — serving WW Sellers and Vendors across regions including India, China, Slovakia, Spain, and Japan

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
