Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Applies full understanding of the business, the customer, and the solutions that a business offers to effectively design, develop, and implement operational capabilities, tools, and processes that enable highly available, scalable, & reliable customer experiences.
• Manage local assignments and on-call responsibilities as part of a dispersed application operations team.
• Works on significant assignments that are broad in scope and complexity, may cross several functional and organizational boundaries, and cover a wide range of issues.
• Implements repeatable and maintainable procedures.
• Develops and maintains automated, zero-downtime deployment capability in an always-on SaaS environment
• Develops and maintains monitoring solutions to aid in the rapid notification and resolution of incidents
• Drives improvement within and across teams

Requirements (must have):



• Practical experience in one of the scripting languages (Ruby, Python, Node JS or similar) Practical experience with linux administration.
• Knowledge of one or more of the public cloud offerings (AWS, GCE, AZURE…) , docker, Kubernetes or equivalent docker orchestration etc...

Role Expectations:

• Experience with Linux.
• 2-3 years of experience in building highly scalable application deployment architecture in AWS EC2
• Experience with AWS Stack (ELBs, EC2, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudFront, EBS, RDS, IAM, Elastic Cache, etc.)
• AWS Security and Cost Management
• Experience with Monitoring using EFK, Prometheus (or similar)
• Experience with Deployment and Automation using: Chef, Docker, Kubernetes (or similar)
• Develop real-time application dashboards showing overall system health
• Reporting on applications performance, availability, reliability, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively present information to varied technical audiences.
