Senior Devops Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior DevOps Engineer ( 4-5 yrs ) role based in Ahmedabad. The Senior DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support existing and new applications. Responsibilities include managing CI/CD workflows, optimizing build and release processes, and ensuring high availability and reliability of production systems. The role involves administering Linux-based servers, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating closely with development teams to improve software delivery, security, and operational efficiency. The Senior DevOps Engineer will also promote automation best practices, infrastructure as code, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Strong infrastructure as code (IaC) skills with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar, and experience designing automated, repeatable infrastructure deployments.
• Hands-on software development experience in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or Node.js) to build tools, scripts, and integrations for DevOps workflows.
• Proficiency in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) for automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Solid system administration skills, including Linux server management, performance tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack) and incident response practices.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
