As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructure that supports our software development lifecycle. You will work closely with software engineers, QA, and IT teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of our systems. Your primary focus will be on streamlining our deployment processes, improving system scalability, and ensuring a robust, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities:

• CI/CD Pipeline Development:
  
  

Design, implement, and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  
  

Develop and maintain IaC templates using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  
  

Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.

• Automation & Scripting:
  
  

Create and maintain automation scripts using languages like Python, Shell, or Bash to automate routine tasks and processes.

• Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
  
  

Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, etc.) to ensure high system availability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.

• Collaboration and Mentorship:
  
  

Work closely with development teams to understand deployment requirements and best practices. Provide mentorship to junior engineers and guide the team in adopting DevOps best practices.

• Security and Compliance:
  
  

Ensure that infrastructure and deployment processes follow security best practices. Conduct vulnerability assessments, automate patch management, and collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance.

• Disaster Recovery and High Availability:
  
  

Design and implement disaster recovery solutions, backup strategies, and ensure high availability for mission-critical systems.

• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
  
  

Maintain clear and concise documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and processes. Share knowledge across the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Technical

Your Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering or related roles, with a strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD tools.
• Cloud Platforms: Expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS preferred).
• Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and container management.
• CI/CD Tools: Proficiency with tools like BitBucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Automation/Scripting: Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Bash.
• Version Control: Experience with BitBucket, Git and Git workflows.
• Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, etc.
• Security Practices: Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, including IAM, VPCs, encryption, etc.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Public/Private Cloud architecture (EC2, AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an Agile environment.
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (or similar certifications) is a plus.
