Responsibilities

• Firewall Configuration & Troubleshooting (Palo Alto, Checkpoint and FortiGate):
• Configure and maintain Palo Alto, Checkpoint and FortiGate firewalls.
• Implement security policies, NAT configurations, and VPN setups (IPsec and SSL VPN).
• Troubleshoot firewall issues including traffic blocking, NAT, session management, and policy violations.
• Perform routine security audits, policy reviews, and SSL decryption configuration.
• Wireless Access Points (Meraki & Catalyst) Configuration & Troubleshooting:
• Configure Meraki wireless access points for multiple SSIDs, VLANs, and security settings.
• Manage and troubleshoot connectivity issues, performance degradation, and interference.
• Analyze RF environments and adjust settings like channel and power configurations to optimize wireless networks.
• Use Meraki dashboard to monitor clients, events, and perform packet captures for analysis.
• Switching & Routing Configuration & Troubleshooting (Cisco / HPE / Nexus / Aruba / Arista / Juniper):
• Configure and maintain Cisco switches, including VLAN setup, trunking, EtherChannel, and STP configurations.
• Perform troubleshooting for Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching issues, including routing table checks, VLAN misconfigurations, and link aggregation problems.
• Configure and manage routing protocols like OSPF and EIGRP.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues such as packet drops, interface errors, and network loops.
• Network Performance and Monitoring:
• Use tools for network monitoring, traffic analysis, and log management to ensure the health of the network.
• Monitor key network performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance performance.
• Security and Compliance:
• Enforce firewall and network security policies as per company and regulatory standards.
• Participate in regular network audits and security reviews.
• Provide input on disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring hot and cold standby solutions are configured.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Create and maintain network diagrams, configuration documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
• Prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and changes for management review.
