Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Design Engineer in the Transformer Division at Kirloskar Electric Company Ltd., located in Mysore. The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical transformers, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software, CREO, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Day-to-day tasks involve developing product designs, ensuring compliance with international standards, and optimizing the mechanical and electrical designs for efficiency and reliability. The role also includes liaising with manufacturing teams and vendors to ensure high-quality output and timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Design Engineering, Product Design, and problem-solving methodologies
• Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles and their applications
• Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and modifying technical drawings
• Experience with CREO software
• Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical Engineering concepts, particularly in transformer applications
• Additional qualifications such as prior experience in the electrical manufacturing industry or transformer design will be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
