Senior Backend Engineer

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 3000000 - Rs 4500000 (ie INR 30-45 LPA) Min Experience: 5 years Location: Bangalore JobType: full-time As a Golang Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services that power mission-critical applications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy services built for performance and scalability. The role demands a deep understanding of Golang, cloud technologies, and distributed systems, along with a hands-on approach to coding and problem-solving. Requirements Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using Golang for scalable backend systems Work on system architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization for high-traffic environments Build RESTful APIs and microservices that are efficient, maintainable, and secure Collaborate with DevOps and product teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration across environments Perform code reviews, refactor existing modules, and maintain high code quality standards Work with relational and NoSQL databases to design efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms Troubleshoot production issues, monitor system performance, and implement improvements Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and continuous improvement of development processes Stay updated with the latest advancements in Golang and backend development tools What Makes You a Great Fit Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 5-10 years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 3 years working in Golang Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design Proven experience in building high-performance backend services and APIs Deep familiarity with Linux environments and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Excellent grasp of asynchronous architectures and system scalability principles Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases with practical implementation experience Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and delivering high-quality solutions
