Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Java development and enterprise application architecture, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

Location

Zact is a global company with multiple locations across US, Europe and India.

We provide 100% Remote Working Option.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications using Spring Framework and related technologies
Architect and implement RESTful APIs following industry best practices and security standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making
Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality standards are maintained
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of Java development experience
Strong expertise in Spring Framework ecosystem
Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices
Experience implementing various authentication and authorization models (OAuth 2.0, JWT, RBAC)
Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ESB implementations, particularly Apache Camel
Experience with ETL frameworks and data integration patterns
Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Technical Skills

Languages: Java 8+, SQL
Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA
Integration: Apache Camel, REST APIs
Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar RDBMS
Testing: JUnit, Mockito
