About The Opportunity

Vernovis is seeking a Senior Accountant to support month-end close, general ledger management, and financial reporting for a well-established manufacturing company. This role involves accounts payable oversight, reconciliations, fixed assets, and commissions, and is ideal for a candidate with a mature career looking for a long-term opportunity.

What You'll Do:

Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries

Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and sub-ledgers monthly

Record fixed assets and post depreciation

Book accruals and maintain accurate ledger entries

Prepare sales tax schedules and file sales tax returns

Analyze monthly expenditures and provide variance explanations

Review and approve accounts payable invoices and select check runs

Provide backup support for Accounts Payable as needed

Review, approve, and prepare employee expense reports in Concur

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve AP aging discrepancies

Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls

What Experience Is Nice To Have

Experience in a small manufacturing or production environment

Exposure to accounts payable oversight or supervision

Familiarity with ERP systems or Concur for expense reporting

Experience With Commissions, Payroll, Or Other Specialized Accounting Functions

Previous involvement in process improvement or implementation of internal controls
