We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in GAAP and regulatory reporting, with a strong background in manufacturing. This role involves managing complex financial data, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing detailed reports, and facilitating effective financial management across the organization.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Coordinate and perform accounts payable and accounts receivable (cash application) processes, ensuring timely processing and compliance.
Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, month-end close procedures, and account reconciliations.
Perform cash management duties, including forecasting cash flow needs.
Write comprehensive financial reports to support management decision-making and external audits.
Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal policies related to financial reporting.
Utilize various accounting/ERP software such as CETEC, Sage, and other financial management tools to streamline processes.
Assist with budgeting processes, financial analysis, and forecasting activities to support organizational growth.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical accounting issues such as payroll, double entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Extensive experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or government/non-profit sectors.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance, regulatory reporting standards, and technical accounting principles.
Proven expertise in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting.
Proficiency with accounting/ERP software including or similar to CETEC, Sage, and other financial management tools.
Excellent financial analysis skills with a solid understanding of cash management and forecasting techniques.
Ability to interpret complex financial data accurately and communicate findings effectively through detailed reports.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay range and compensation package

$75k - $90k
