Job Title: Security Engineer (L3) ? Cloud Security SME Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-time Experience Level: Senior (5+ years) Reporting To: Head of Cloud Security / CISO About the Role We?re seeking a seasoned Cloud Security Engineer (L3) to lead the charge in securing our multi-cloud infrastructure. As a subject matter expert, you?ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, enhance, and automate cloud security baselines across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Your work will directly impact our compliance posture, risk management strategy, and operational resilience. Key Responsibilities 1. Security Scanning & Hardening Implement and manage cloud security scanning tools (Checkov, Snyk IaC, Terraform Validator) Harden cloud environments using Azure Defender, CloudFormation, ARM templates Maintain secure baselines for cloud configurations and architecture 2. Automation & Rule Tuning Automate security scans and rule enforcement across AWS, Azure, and GCP Tune detection rules to reduce false positives and improve signal fidelity Develop remediation plans for misconfigurations and firewall gaps 3. Risk Management & Compliance Align cloud controls with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and other frameworks Conduct risk assessments, audits, and gap analyses Monitor and report on compliance metrics and control effectiveness ? Requirements 5+ years of experience in cloud security, network security, or related domains Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP security architectures Hands-on experience with IaC tools and cloud automation workflows Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM Bonus Skills Experience with container security (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) Exposure to SIEM/SOAR platforms Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to security training initiatives Why Join Us?
