We are currently partnering with a leading specialty chemicals manufacturer to secure top-tier talent for a path-breaking research role in Bhiwadi. This isn't just a technical position; it is a critical mandate for process innovation and sustainable scale-up.

Role Description The Scientist – Process R&D (Organic Synthesis) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhiwadi. The Scientist will design, develop, and optimize synthetic routes for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates, focusing on scalability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Day-to-day tasks include conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing reaction outcomes, troubleshooting processes, and documenting results in line with regulatory and quality standards. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support technology transfer from lab to pilot and commercial scale, ensuring smooth implementation in manufacturing. The Scientist will also participate in continuous improvement initiatives, evaluate new technologies, and contribute to best practices in process development and GMP-compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process development, route scouting, optimization, and commercialization of aroma
  • and fine chemical products.
  • Design and scale multi-step organic synthesis from laboratory to commercial
  • manufacturing.
  • Optimize reactions including hydrogenation, oxidation, reduction, esterification,
  • condensation, alkylation/acylation, cyclization, distillation, crystallization, and purification.
  • Apply Reaction Engineering, DoE, and catalyst optimization to improve yield, selectivity,
  • productivity, and robustness.
  • Lead technology transfer, manufacturing support, process troubleshooting, and continuous
  • improvement.
  • Conduct process safety evaluations and ensure compliance with EHS, GMP, and quality
  • systems.
  • Utilize GC, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, NMR, and FTIR for process monitoring and
  • characterization.
  • Review patent literature and contribute to IP generation and new product development.

Qualifications

  • M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry
  • 3–6 years of Process R&D experience in Aroma Chemicals, Fine Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, API, Agrochemicals, or Flavours & Fragrances
  • Strong expertise in Organic Synthesis, Scale-Up, Process Development, Technology Transfer, Process Safety, and analytical techniques (GC, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, NMR & FTIR
