We're Hiring: Scholarly Publishing & Journal Management Specialist (Full-Time)

Location: Remote /Office/ India / Delhi

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced Scholarly Publishing & Journal Management Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support scholarly journal publishing workflows.
  • Work closely with the product and technical teams to improve editorial and publishing processes.
  • Analyze manuscript submission, peer review, editorial decision, production, and publication workflows.
  • Prepare workflow documentation and functional requirements.
  • Test publishing workflows and identify process improvements.
  • Provide guidance on best practices in scholarly publishing.
  • Support journal onboarding, configuration, and training.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in scholarly publishing or journal management.
  • Hands-on experience with Open Journal Systems (OJS) is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of the complete journal publishing lifecycle, including manuscript submission, peer review, editorial workflows, revisions, copyediting, production, and publication.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

What We're Looking For


We're looking for someone who understands scholarly publishing beyond software—someone who has hands-on experience managing journal workflows and can contribute practical knowledge and industry best practices.


Education


We believe practical knowledge and hands-on experience are more valuable than formal qualifications. A college degree is not mandatory for this role. If you have strong expertise in scholarly publishing, journal management, and hands-on experience with OJS or other journal management systems, we encourage you to apply regardless of your educational background.
