Role Description The Sales Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Sales Manager will oversee sales activities for industrial and commercial cleaning equipment, including managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strong relationships with distributors and end customers. Typical responsibilities include creating and executing sales plans, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, negotiating contracts and pricing, and monitoring market trends and competitor activity. The role involves working closely with marketing, operations, and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery, as well as preparing regular sales reports and forecasts. The Sales Manager will also support training initiatives for the sales team and contribute to long-term growth strategies for Comac India.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales or account management, ideally in industrial equipment, cleaning solutions, or related sectors.
  • Strong skills in business development, lead generation, and relationship management with corporate and commercial clients.
  • Ability to develop sales strategies, manage pipelines, and use CRM tools to track opportunities and performance.
  • Effective negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical product features clearly.
  • Sound understanding of the local Surat and broader Indian market dynamics for industrial or commercial equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and work with measurable performance goals.
  • Comfort working on-site, visiting customer locations, and conducting field-based sales activities as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or similar postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital tools; familiarity with CRM platforms is beneficial.
  • Fluency in English and local languages used in Chennai; strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.
