Role Overview
We are looking for a highly driven Sales Manager from a Higher Education / EdTech background who can lead from the front. This role requires not only managing a team but also actively engaging in individual contribution through calling and conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of sales executives to achieve monthly targets
- Take ownership of end-to-end sales cycle: lead qualification, counseling, follow-ups, and closures
- Actively engage in calling and direct conversions (individual contributor role alongside team handling)
- Drive admissions for online degree programs (MBA, PGDM, etc.)
- Monitor daily team performance (calls, conversions, revenue)
- Train and coach team members on counseling techniques and objection handling
- Collaborate with marketing for lead flow and improve conversion funnels
- Ensure high-quality counseling experience for prospective students
- 3β7 years of experience in Higher Education / EdTech sales (mandatory)
- Proven experience in inside sales / academic counseling / admission sales
- Experience in handling degree programs like Online MBA, Executive Programs, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead + sell simultaneously
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills
- Target-driven with consistent track record of high performance
- Comfortable with high-volume calling and fast-paced environment
- Someone who can lead from the front (not just manage)
- Strong closer with a consultative sales approach
