Job Description
Sumsahi Kemicals is a sourcing and supply partner serving pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, chemical, and allied industries. We help customers identify reliable manufacturers, manage sourcing, coordinate documentation, and ensure smooth order execution from inquiry to delivery.
We are looking for a driven Sales Executive who enjoys building relationships, solving customer sourcing challenges, and managing opportunities from first conversation to order closure.
Role ObjectiveYour primary responsibility is to generate business opportunities, manage customer relationships, coordinate internally, and convert inquiries into profitable orders.
You will own the customer journey from lead generation through quotation, follow-up, order closure, and repeat business.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Lead Generation- Identify and approach potential customers in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, chemical, veterinary, food, and allied industries.
- Generate leads through calls, emails, LinkedIn, industry directories, referrals, and market research.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Understand customer requirements including product specifications, quantities, target pricing, regulatory requirements, and timelines.
- Conduct discovery calls and qualification discussions.
- Build long-term relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
- Coordinate with sourcing and procurement teams to obtain product availability and pricing.
- Prepare and share quotations with customers.
- Track all inquiries, quotations, samples, and opportunities.
- Ensure timely follow-up until closure.
- Assist in negotiations related to pricing, delivery timelines, and commercial terms.
- Convert qualified opportunities into confirmed orders.
- Maintain regular communication throughout the order lifecycle.
- Generate repeat business from existing customers.
- Work closely with sourcing, procurement, logistics, and management teams.
- Ensure customer requirements are communicated clearly internally.
- Escalate critical issues proactively.
- Monitor market trends, customer demand, competitor activity, and product opportunities.
- Identify new products and customer segments with growth potential.
Within 90 days:
- Consistently generating qualified leads.
- Managing inquiries independently.
- Maintaining an organized sales pipeline.
- Building strong customer relationships.
- Contributing to order closures and revenue growth.
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- B.Sc.
- B.Pharm
- M.Pharm
- Chemistry
- Biotechnology
- BBA
- B.Com
- MBA
- Or related disciplines
- 1-2 years of experience in:
- B2B Sales
- Business Development
- Customer Success
- Client Relationship Management
- Industrial / Pharma / Chemical Sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to confidently speak with customers over phone and email.
- Strong follow-up capability.
- Organized pipeline management.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
