Engineer – Sales / Senior Sales Engineer | Industrial Automation

Location: Hyderabad / Kochi / Bangalore

Experience: 3–7 Years


About the Role

We are looking for dynamic and result-oriented Sales Engineers/Senior Sales Engineers with experience in Industrial Automation sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for business development, customer relationship management, and driving sales of automation solutions across the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of industrial automation products and solutions.
  • Generate new business opportunities through customer visits, prospecting, and lead generation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs, end users, system integrators, and panel builders.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable automation solutions.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and presentations.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close sales opportunities.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Coordinate with technical and service teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and business development updates.

Products & Technologies

Candidates should have experience in selling one or more of the following:

  • PLC
  • SCADA
  • HMI
  • VFD / Drives
  • Motion Control Systems
  • Industrial Safety Solutions

Experience with Rockwell Automation products will be an added advantage.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Robotics & Automation, or related disciplines.
  • 3–7 years of experience in Industrial Automation Sales or Technical Sales.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation products and applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
  • Fluency in English and the local language.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
