Networks Connect is conducting a search on behalf of our client, a well-established and reputable HVAC manufacturer representative firm serving the commercial and industrial market in Cincinnati, Ohio. This Sales Engineer opportunity is ideal for a mechanical engineer ready to step into a technical sales role or an already established Sales Engineer looking to build a career at the intersection of engineering and business development.


In this role, you will step into a well-positioned seat — representing a strong, reputable product line to an established book of business — and play a key role in driving growth by calling on engineers, getting products specified at basis of design, and developing new opportunities across the region.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Call on mechanical engineers to get HVAC products written into specifications and basis of design
  • Build and maintain relationships with engineers, contractors, owners, and facility managers
  • Work through technical applications and provide expert guidance throughout the sales process
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through owner sales and project development
  • Manage and grow an inherited book of established accounts
  • Represent the company at industry events, technical meetings, and client engagements
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales and gross profit goals


Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering degree required
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, or technical sales
  • Experience calling on engineers and driving basis of design work preferred
  • Strong business development mindset with the ability to identify and close new opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Located in or able to relocate to Cincinnati, Ohio.
