Job Description
The Application/Sales Engineer is responsible for generating sales, providing technical support to customers, and ensuring successful product application across various industrial sectors. The role bridges customer needs with company solutions by offering correct lubricant/grease selection, troubleshooting equipment issues, and driving business growth through technical competence.
Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial sectors such as automotive, steel, cement, textile, mining, food-grade applications, and general manufacturing.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for lubricants, greases, specialty oils, and customized solutions.
Conduct sales visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to prospective and existing customers.
Manage distributor/stockist relationships and support them in achieving sales growth.
Prepare and submit techno-commercial offers, quotations, and tenders.
Analyse customer equipment, lubrication points, operating conditions, and recommend suitable lubricants/greases.
Conduct lubrication surveys, oil analysis interpretation, and consumption optimization studies.
Troubleshoot issues such as premature bearing failure, high temperature lubrication problems, grease bleeding, contamination, or product incompatibility.
Support customers in product trials, commissioning, and performance monitoring.
Assist R&D and QC teams by collecting field feedback and reporting product performance.
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of industrial lubricants, greases, additives, and applications.
Understanding of lubrication engineering, tribology, equipment maintenance, and failure analysis.
Ability to interpret SDS, TDS, and OEM recommendations.
Basic understanding of oil analysis reports (viscosity, wear metals, TAN/TBN, etc.).
Education /Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or related engineering field.
