Overview:
We are a leading manufacturer of testing equipment, including NDT equipment, Compression Testing Machines, Humidity Chambers, Hot Air Ovens, Civil Testing Equipment, Aggregate Testing Equipment, and more, catering to various industries and institutions.
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales and Marketing Engineer to bridge the gap between our sophisticated testing solutions and our clients. This role is highly field-oriented and requires a blend of strong technical application knowledge, sales and marketing expertise, and a commitment to frequent customer site visits to develop and secure new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
π£οΈ Field Sales & Customer Engagement (Primary Focus)
- Technical Site Visits
- Conduct frequent and planned field visits across the assigned territory (50%β60% travel required) to meet R&D Managers, Quality Control Engineers, and Procurement teams.
- Hands-On Demonstrations
- Transport, set up, and professionally demonstrate the capabilities of our testing equipment at customer facilities and in-house demonstration centers, while handling technical queries effectively.
- Consultative Selling
- Act as a technical consultant by thoroughly understanding customer testing requirements, including compliance standards such as ASTM and ISO.
- Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key technical decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
- Opportunity Closure
- Manage the technical sales pipeline from initial contact through closing, including the preparation and negotiation of technical quotations and commercial terms.
π Marketing & Business Development
- Market Intelligence
- Systematically collect, analyze, and report field-based market insights, including competitor analysis and emerging customer requirements, to support product development and strategy.
- Technical Content Development
- Create and refine technical sales tools, presentations, case studies, and application notes.
- Trade Show Representation
- Represent the company at regional and national trade shows, exhibitions, and technical workshops.
βοΈ Solution Engineering & Documentation
- Proposal Preparation
- Prepare detailed, technically accurate, and commercially sound quotations, proposals, and tender submissions, including equipment specifications, performance parameters, and delivery timelines.
- Technical Coordination
- Ensure seamless coordination between the customerβs technical team and our internal engineering and service departments for successful installation and commissioning.
Required Qualifications:
Education
- Diploma or Bachelorβs degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Instrumentation, or a related field).
Experience
- 3β5 years of proven experience in technical field sales, preferably in testing or laboratory equipment.
Field Readiness
- A valid driverβs license with the ability to travel extensively and work independently. Prior experience managing a sales territory is essential.
Communication & Presentation Skills
- Strong ability to deliver persuasive technical presentations and communicate complex solutions effectively to both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce or ERP systems) for territory management and reporting
- Existing professional network within target industries
- Practical, hands-on experience operating advanced testing equipment
