Job Summary :

The Head – Fire & Safety will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring fire protection systems and overall site safety operations across projects. The role ensures full compliance with fire safety regulations and occupational health & safety standards, while integrating fire safety systems seamlessly into project execution.

Job Responsibilities:

Fire Protection Systems & Compliance

• Ensure thorough understanding and application of fire safety regulations, codes, and statutory standards.
• Collaborate with architects, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate fire protection systems into overall project plans without compromising design or functionality.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal fire protection system layouts.
• Prepare project schedules and cost estimates related to fire safety systems.
• Oversee installation of fire protection systems, ensuring correct implementation as per approved drawings and safety standards.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of fire safety systems to ensure operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities to ensure long-term efficiency and reliability of fire safety systems.
• Provide technical support during planning, installation, and maintenance stages.
• Prepare periodic reports on project progress, system performance, audits, and compliance status.

Site Safety Management:

• Enforce site safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety regulations.
• Stay updated on relevant health and safety legislation and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards.
• Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and safety drills.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive and corrective measures.
• Develop site-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
• Ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs covering hazard identification, emergency procedures, safe work practices, and equipment handling.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings regularly.
• Educate and guide workers on emergency response procedures, including fire drills and first-aid protocols.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and supervisors to integrate safety practices into daily operations.
• Maintain hygiene standards in labour accommodations in line with industry norms.
• Facilitate routine health check-ups for site labour and staff.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and statutory fire safety regulations.
• Expertise in occupational health & safety standards and compliance.
• Ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and emergency planning.
• Strong coordination and leadership skills.
• Excellent reporting and documentation capability.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of local and National plumbing,public health, and fire safety standards (NFPA, NBC, UPC).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
