Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring driver safety and regulatory compliance across US logistics operations in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) standards. This role manages driver onboarding, qualification, and ongoing compliance processes while maintaining accurate records and supporting a culture of safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee driver onboarding and qualification processes in compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Prepare, review, and maintain Driver Qualification (DQ) files to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Conduct employment verifications and background checks for prospective drivers
- Manage FMCSA Clearinghouse queries, reporting, and compliance tracking
- Coordinate and schedule drug and alcohol testing through third-party vendors (e.g., i3 Screening)
- Process criminal background screenings and employment checks via ADP
- Maintain and update driver records and compliance documentation in PCS and internal systems
- Track and review driver inspection reports to ensure safety compliance and timely issue resolution
- Identify and address compliance gaps, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining organized and audit-ready documentation
- Collaborate with operations and safety teams to enforce regulatory standards and best practices
- Stay updated on FMCSA regulations and ensure organizational adherence to evolving compliance requirements
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and US transportation compliance standards
- Experience in driver onboarding, safety compliance, and qualification file management
- Familiarity with FMCSA Clearinghouse, drug & alcohol testing procedures, and background verification processes
- Proficiency in compliance systems such as PCS or similar platforms
- High attention to detail with strong documentation and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment
- Prior experience in US logistics, trucking, or transportation compliance
- Experience handling audits and regulatory inspections
- Knowledge of safety protocols and risk mitigation in fleet operations
