Job Description

A Robotics Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems used in robotic equipment and automated machinery. The role involves integrating sensors, controllers, motors, and electronic circuits to ensure efficient operation of robotic systems used in industrial automation, manufacturing, research, or advanced technology applications.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design and develop electrical circuits and control systems for robotic machines.
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, PLCs, and embedded systems into robotic applications.
  • Develop wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and control panel layouts.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers and software engineers to ensure system compatibility.
  • Perform installation and commissioning of robotic equipment at project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Analyze system performance and implement improvements for efficiency and reliability.
  • Maintain documentation including wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, and system reports.
  • Provide technical support during system installation and maintenance.


Required Skills


  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits and control systems
  • Experience with PLC programming and automation systems
  • Understanding of robotic systems and industrial automation
  • Knowledge of sensors, motors, actuators, and control panels
  • Ability to read and design electrical schematics
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering,

Electronics Engineering, or

Robotics Engineering

  • 2–5 years of experience in robotics or automation industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of PLC, embedded systems, and industrial robotics


Preferred Technical Knowledge


  • Industrial robotics systems such as ABB Robotics, KUKA, or FANUC robots
  • Programming and control using MATLAB, LabVIEW, or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Knowledge of embedded controllers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi
