Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Retail Solar Sales role based in Bhubaneswar/ Chattishgarh/ West Bengal. The role involves engaging with walk-in and referred customers, understanding their energy needs, and presenting suitable solar products and solutions. The Retail Solar Sales professional will conduct product demonstrations, explain technical features in simple terms, and guide customers through pricing, financing options, and installation timelines. Responsibilities include managing the sales process from initial contact to closing, maintaining accurate records of leads and sales, and following up to ensure customer satisfaction. The role also includes coordinating with internal teams and installation partners, monitoring local market trends, and meeting individual and store-level sales targets while adhering to company policies and ethical sales practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong Retail Sales and customer-facing experience, preferably in solar, energy, or consumer durables.
  • Solid Product Knowledge and ability to translate technical features into clear customer benefits.
  • Proven focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, including after-sales support and follow-up.
  • Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse customers.
  • Basic understanding of solar energy concepts and willingness to learn product and industry details.
  • Ability to work on-site in Bhubaneswar, including weekends and retail peak hours as required.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with experience meeting or exceeding sales targets and handling objections.
  • Comfort with using POS systems, CRM tools, and standard office applications for reporting and follow-up.
  • Minimum high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in retail, field sales, or customer-facing roles in a structured environment is preferred.
