Job Description

Job Summary

The Statutory Reporting COE is responsible for leading and delivering the close activities and audits for legal entities around the world. The team is responsible to lead USGAAP Close, Local Close and Statutory Audit closures with the external audit partners.

This role is responsible to manage team capacity and includes resource management duties, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of team members to support ongoing projects and audit cycles. Regularly assessing team workload and skill sets to identify gaps and areas for development. Utilizing resource management tools and dashboards to track utilization rates, forecast future needs, and reduce idle capacity.

The candidate will be expected to oversee workforce planning and contribute to talent development within the COE, ensuring the team remains agile, engaged, and capable of delivering on the organization's statutory reporting objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Staffing & Allocation: Ensures alignment of resources based on experience, industry, technical expertise, skill set, prior experience, availability, and geography as appropriate.
  • Capacity Planning & Forecasting: Predicting future workforce needs by analyzing pipelines and plans to identify potential resourcing or training gaps.
  • Utilization Management: Monitoring and optimizing to ensure high productivity while minimizing idle time.
  • Conflict Resolution: Managing overlapping assignments, timelines and negotiating between managers to resolve staffing conflicts.
  • KPI Reporting: Strong technology skills are essential to create dashboards for tracking metrics such as utilization, variance between planned and actual hours with analysis and action plans.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or Finance; an MBA.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a Professional Service or Big 4 or similar environment.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of resource management software and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, Ability to influence and negotiate with managers regarding team assignments. Assertive, independent and objectively driven initiative-taker who is a solution-oriented and analytical.
  • Other Skills: Strong organizational skills, Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently, Strong attention to detail.
