Role Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on R&D Specialist to drive product innovation and build scalable R&D systems at THF. This role requires someone who can develop great products and set up the structure behind them — from lab trials to commercialization.

Ideal for candidates who have worked in structured FMCG setups but are excited to build and execute in a startup environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end product development across bakery and functional foods (protein, clean-label, better-for-you)
  • Drive lab-to-plant commercialization — trials, scale-up, and production readiness
  • Build and implement R&D processes, SOPs, and testing frameworks
  • Conduct shelf-life studies, sensory evaluation, and product optimization
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and vendors for ingredient sourcing and product execution
  • Troubleshoot product and process challenges on the factory floor
Ideal Profile
  • 4–8 years in Food R&D / NPD (bakery, confectionery, or functional foods preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Laboratory Skills specific to food product testing and development
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, Biotechnology, or a related field
  • Passion for health-focused food innovation and alignment with the company’s mission
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards is an advantage
  • Experience in product development + scale-up/commercialization
  • Strong understanding of ingredients, baking science, and shelf-life
  • Exposure to structured R&D environments (SOPs, quality standards) is a plus
