Reporting Manager(ESG)

The Role - ESG Reporting is to be hired for our leading Managment Consulting firm(Big4) with a Global Exposure or GCC exposure; specifically have experience working in Banking/Finance GCC environments

The ESG Reporting Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end design, execution, and governance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure processes. This role ensures that all external ESG reporting is accurate, compliant, and aligned with evolving global regulatory standards and stakeholder expectations.

Role Summary

• Manage the design, execution and documentation of ESG disclosure processes.
• Ensure external ESG disclosures are accurate, reliable and aligned with reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to support evolving ESG regulatory and reporting standards.
• Drive improvements in ESG reporting processes and control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation of ESG disclosures for interim and annual reporting cycles.
• Monitor global ESG disclosure regulations and support implementation of new standards.
• Document processes, controls and assurance frameworks for non-financial reporting.
• Collaborate with policy, finance, sustainability and risk teams to interpret disclosure requirements.
• Prepare governance and reporting materials for committees and senior leadership.
• Act as a contact point for external auditor assurance on ESG disclosures.
• Support continuous improvement and optimisation of ESG reporting processes.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong working relationships across Finance, Sustainability, Risk and Investor Relations teams.
• Assist in responding to senior management, regulator, investor and rating agency queries.
• Coordinate with global and regional stakeholders to ensure consistent ESG reporting.
• Engage with industry forums and contribute to ESG reporting discussions where relevant.

Operational Excellence & Control

• Maintain awareness of regulatory developments affecting ESG disclosures.
• Support project management of ESG reporting deliverables and process updates.
• Ensure strong data integrity controls and maintain assurance documentation.
• Manage operational risks and ensure compliance with internal control frameworks.

Major Challenges

• Managing demanding workloads during reporting cycles under tight deadlines.
• Navigating evolving ESG standards requiring judgement in interpretation.
• Handling complex senior stakeholder relationships across global teams.
• Ensuring consistency of disclosures while adapting to a rapidly changing ESG landscape.

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance or reporting within a large organisation.
• Experience with new reporting requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and work independently in a global environment.
• Qualifications in Finance, Accounting or related field (preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Interest or familiarity with AI tools to enhance reporting efficiency (good to have).
