Role Description The Relationship Manager Working Capital MEG is a full-time, on-site role based in Gujarat, India, focused on managing and growing working capital relationships with mid and emerging corporate clients. The role involves identifying client needs, structuring appropriate working capital solutions, and managing end-to-end credit proposals in line with bank policies and risk guidelines. Responsibilities include acquiring new customers, deepening existing relationships, cross-selling relevant banking products, and ensuring high service standards and timely resolution of client queries. The Relationship Manager will collaborate with credit, operations, and product teams to enable smooth transaction processing, monitor portfolio performance, and maintain compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. The role also requires regular market visits, pipeline management, and reporting to support business growth targets.
Qualifications
- Strong relationship management and client servicing abilities, with a track record of engaging corporate or business banking customers and understanding their financial needs.
- Knowledge of working capital products and services, including cash credit, overdrafts, trade finance, and related credit facilities, along with familiarity with risk assessment and credit processes.
- Business development and sales skills, including prospecting, negotiation, deal closure, and cross-selling across the bank’s product suite.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements, assess creditworthiness, and identify appropriate solutions for clients.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to interact with senior stakeholders, prepare proposals, and explain complex financial products clearly.
- Operational and compliance orientation, with attention to documentation, regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and process accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business management, economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or MBA in finance or banking is an advantage.
- Previous experience in corporate banking, SME banking, or working capital finance at a bank or financial institution is highly beneficial.
