Role/ Job Title: Relationship Manager-Capital Markets

Function/ Department: Wholesale Banking

Job Purpose: 'Financial Institutions Group (FIG) business vertical is part of Wholesale Banking in IDFC FIRST Bank and manages relationship with Government FIs, Insurance Companies, Domestic Banks, Foreign Correspondent Banks, Capital Markets, Authorized Dealers (Category II), Funds and offshore Financial Institutions. This role requires managing relationship with similar entities based out of GIFT IFSC through IFSC Banking Unit.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify, Approach and onboard new clients eligible under IFSC regulations primarily Stock & Commodity Exchanges, Capital Market Brokers, Insurance companies, Alternative Investments Funds and other Financial Institutions (Collectively "FI")
  • Use market research, Networking, referrals, Exchanges to source NTB clients for the IBU etc.
  • Achieve assigned targets (Revenue, CASA balances, Trade, FDs and treasury flows etc) for the mapped clients.
  • Responsible for credit analysis and underwriting of limits on entities based in GIFT IFSC. Ability to resolve credit risk queries raised by FI Risk team and Early Warning team. Basic understanding of financial statements and macro-economics is a must.
  • Execute documents for various credit facilities by coordinating with internal departments like Legal, Credit Risk, Compliance, CAD etc.
  • Work closely with various Product teams to ensure introduction of new products applicable for GIFT IFSC entities to achieve maximum cross sell in all clients.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of various mandates by coordinating with client and internal departments like Product Teams, Operations, Service Team, Compliance etc.
  • Resolve customer issues/escalations swiftly and ensure high quality of service, promptness in processing transactions.
  • Ensure all IFSC-specific regulations are followed (eg KYC, AML, RBI, SEZ, IFSC guidelines)
  • Stay updated about trends processes for FIs at the time of onboarding of new relationship or at the time of KYC renewal.
  • Provide feedback on competitor offerings, pricing, regulatory changes etc and suggest innovation or improvements in IFSC product offerings.

Educational Qualification

Graduation: Any Graduate

Post Graduation: Any post graduate

Experience: 5-10 years’ experience in Banking and Financial Services, IBUs
