Job Title: Regional Manager – North & East
Job Purpose:
- Responsible for overseeing and managing operations at multiple airports within a designated region (managing 20-30% of the domestic network volumes) involving strategic planning, resource management, and ensuring adherence to safety, service quality, and operational excellence standards.
Key Accountabilities:
- Oversee and manage ground handling operations at multiple airports within the designated region.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize ground handling operations and enhance service quality.
- Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and facilities, to meet operational demands.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and standard operating procedures at all airports within the region.
- Drive a culture of excellent customer service and maintain high service standards across the region.
- Develop and implement contingency plans for managing operational disruptions and emergencies.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Provide leadership and guidance to airport managers and ground handling teams within the region.
- Monitoring of On Time Performance (Daily, weekly, and monthly) and keeping a track of DGCA published data.
- Ensure all compliances are met as per company and regulatory requirements (DGCA, IOSA, Labour Laws).
- Ensure regular quality checks, audits are conducted for internal team and GHA for regular compliances and service delivery.
- Analyzing costs per PAX trends for Regional Airports, Monthly assessment of Region Airport performance, balance score cards presenting the budget trends on periodic basis.
- Pro-actively identify potential gaps in the current processes and continuously work towards system and service improvements.
- Coordinate with other stake holders/Airport authorities and obtain space for Ticketing/check-in, back office, flight Ops, Inflight, Engineering, Airside and Cargo operations.
- Ensure readiness of operations with all sorts of IT equipment, GSE, GHA in coordination with Finance and Marketing Team.
- Work on ancillary revenue enhancements and drive the daily targets through network across the region.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree. A degree in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, Business Administration, or a related field will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum15+ years of experience in airport operations management, preferably in a metro or Hub airport setting.
