R&D in MACH - Full stack developer- India Development center

The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification.  The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centers of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents. 

Hitachi is looking to expand the R&D teams, with engineers and managers, who can take the technology to the next level. “IN-MACH”, Chennai, India is one of the R&D centers globally, for HVDC MACH Control Platform, performing Software Development, Testing and Cybersecurity activities. The below position is for the Chennai, India, location. Ensure quality and timely executions / deliverables, collaborating and coordinating with all concerned teams and organizations, both internal and external, as per the projects and products plans. 

How You’ll Make An Impact

• To Develop and maintain software applications using .NET technologies and ensure performance, quality and responsiveness of application.
• To Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs in the software application.
• You will be contributing to maintaining code quality and to delivering the product with good predictability and reliability and staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• To follow agile framework, throughout the development phases, in full and collaborate with teams globally, for development and with customers, both Internal & external, professionally.
• To contribute towards continuous improvements, by providing suggestions and ideas to improve the applications technically and process wise and support & work together with the team, for the developments & future support.
• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• Required graduate or master’s degree in engineering (Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics) with more than 8 years of proven experience in full stack development in .Net technologies.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a focus on .NET technologies and front end and back end development such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Working knowledge in scripting languages like Lua, Python, shell etc., working with Virtual Machines (VMs), exposure to database – SQL or others.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL Server or MySQL and with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Working experience in IT systems / infrastructure for the project hosting & handling, cloud is a huge advantage
• Very good understanding & working with Agile / scrum process. (SAFe is an added advantage).
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
