YOUR TASKS

Job Objective

  • Analyzing technical customer requirements and ensuring they are implemented within the product engineering process (PEP)
  • Ensuring the implementation and application of quality tools and methods within the development process(incl. System Engineering, Mechanical Design, HW and SW)
  • Performing reviews and assessments to ensure process compliance towards internal and external automotive standards and customer requirements
  • Support in further developing product and process qualification measures to secure lessons learned


Duties And Responsibilities

Quality planning

  • Defining the project-specific quality strategy including quality targets and milestones in agreement with product development and maintaining the quality manual
  • Supporting and tracking of project teams during the development process with the objective to achieve defined quality targets
  • Supporting tailoring of standard processes to project-specific processes
  • Supporting the project team in preparing of quotations within the context of technical quality-related matters
  • Carrying out effort estimations in agreement with the superior for quality related work packages and controlling of allocated budget
  • Carrying out risk assessment based on customer quality requirements (requirement specifications or general customer requirements) using existing processes and methods; identify critical quality requirements and reliability risks and as deriving alternatives
  • Agreeing product-specific test items and methods with the customer
  • Consolidating and deciding the release criteria for each release in order to support the system releases
  • Preparing and updating quality planning documents for product and process development by using existing processes and methods
  • Coordinating the initial sample inspection activities with the customer, preparing the initial sample inspection report according to customer specifications and achieving series release from customer
  • Coordinating and tracking the relevant quality activities of the different quality roles within the project related quality team (QPD, QPS, QPC, SQA TTM)


Quality management

  • Ensuring that the processes, methods and tools in development are used in the intended scope
  • Planning and carrying out process and work product reviews on development projects containing HW/SW development and validating compliance on the entire system down to HW/SW and Mechanical Design
  • Defining of corrective actions for quality-related deviations in cooperation with the project team and monitoring their implementation
  • Identifying and escalating relevant quality issues to the adequate management level
  • Analyzing quality-related requirements (drawings, requirement specifications etc.) for internal and external suppliers for completeness and plausibility in cooperation with supplier quality assurance
  • Preparing and supporting project reviews and project audits from quality side; monitoring the resulting measures
  • Methodical support of the project team in quality techniques
  • Ensuring that special characteristics are identified, controlled and agreed with the customer; including marking, monitoring and documentation in cooperation with series quality assurance (Quality Product/Customer) and supplier quality assurance
  • Preparing regular quality status reports in cooperation with the superior to support and inform the respective management levels
  • Coordinating root cause analysis, definition of corrective and preventative actions including effectiveness check after implementation
  • Managing customer quality interface


Quality management system

  • Preparing and supporting customer assessments and audits, project reviews and project audits
  • Identifying process optimizations and initiate process change requests
  • Supporting the roll-out of new or changed standards, processes and methods worldwide


Your Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Electronics or Mechanical
  • 3-5 Years of relevant experience in Automotive Domain
