Job Title: QA Engineer (Software & Hardware Validation) Role Overview We are seeking a QA Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of both software and hardware modules. The role involves a mix of manual validation (60%) and automation (30?40%), with a strong focus on hardware testing, root cause analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This role also requires occasional short-term travel (2?5 days/month on a need basis) to client sites for critical issue resolution. Key Responsibilities Create, implement, and execute manual and automated test strategies for software and hardware modules. Detect, log, and document issues with clear reproducibility steps. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for identified issues, work with developers to resolve them, and verify bug fixes. Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks for both software and embedded hardware platforms to maximize coverage and efficiency. Collaborate closely with developers, hardware engineers, and product managers for end-to-end product validation. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python. Automate repetitive and complex testing workflows to improve productivity. Perform cross-platform, performance, and backend testing including data validation using SQL. Work with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CircleCI) and version control systems (Git). Follow SDLC/STLC processes and contribute within Agile/Scrum environments. Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing; exposure to Isaac Sim is an added advantage. Travel to client sites (on need basis, 2?5 days/month) for critical issue resolution. Requirements 1?4 years of QA experience in both software and hardware domains. Strong experience in manual hardware validation (60%). Hands-on experience with test automation (30?40%), preferably using Python. Knowledge of Linux environments (must-have). SQL/database testing knowledge (good to have). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, CircleCI, Git. Exposure to SIL, HIL, Isaac Sim is an advantage. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum practices. Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Willingness to travel occasionally (2?5 days/month) to client sites for resolving critical issues (mandatory). Nice to Have Experience in performance testing and cross-platform validation. Exposure to robotics, embedded systems, or hardware-software integrated products.
