QA Tester (Quality Assurance Tester)

Position Overview

The QA Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications before release. This role involves designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, documenting issues, and collaborating with developers to resolve bugs.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about delivering high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities
1. Test Planning & Execution

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Execute manual and/or automated tests.
• Perform regression, functional, integration, and performance testing.

2. Defect Tracking & Reporting

• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Clearly communicate issues to developers and stakeholders.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved.

3. Collaboration

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Provide feedback to improve product quality and usability.

4. Automation (if applicable)

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
• Improve test coverage and efficiency through automation tools.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline testing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in software testing or QA.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.

Technical Skills

Pay: ₹224,072.46 - ₹915,864.75 per year
