Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer to join our team, specializing in ETL testing and data validation. In this role, you will design and execute comprehensive test cases and scripts to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across complex data pipelines. You?ll collaborate closely with developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand technical and business requirements, and use tools like SQL, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric to validate data flows. You?ll manage test documentation using platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, and TestRail, and actively participate in Agile development cycles. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with Power BI and DAX, and familiarity with cloud technologies including Azure Event Hubs, DevOps pipelines, and GitHub. Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or PySpark is a plus. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions. Responsibilities Design, plan, and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts for ETL validation and regression testing. Verify and validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency using ETL tools and SQL queries. Create and maintain test cases, scripts, and documentation in test management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and TestRail. Collaborate with developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements for ETL testing. Identify, document, and report defects, issues, and risks related to ETL testing. Conduct root cause analysis on any issues that arise during testing and provide recommendations for remediation. Work in an Agile environment to ensure timely delivery of high-quality ETL testing. About You Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field. 3+ years of experience in ETL testing, data validation, and data analysis. Strong SQL skills and experience working with ETL tools, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric. Experience with testing tools such as JIRA and TestRail. Experience in Agile/Scrum software development methodology. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Hands-on experience with Power BI models and DAX. Familiarity with Azure storage, Blob containers, SQL Server, Azure Event Hubs, Azure DevOps pipelines, and GitHub. Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, and PySpark. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
