Job Description

QA Engineer (Manual & Automation Testing)

Location: Malad West, Mumbai
Work from Office
Experience: 0 to 4 years
Salary: ₹3 to ₹5 LPA based on experience

What you’ll do

Test web and mobile applications using manual and automation testing approaches
Design, write, and execute test cases from product and technical requirements
Build, maintain, and execute automation scripts for regression and smoke testing
Use Selenium or Playwright or mdern Ai tools for basic to intermediate automation flows
Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps in JIRA
Work closely with developers, product, and design teams during release cycles
Validate UI behavior using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics
Use Python for test logic, debugging, and data handling
Run SQL queries to validate backend data
Participate in standups, sprint planning, and test cycles

What we’re looking for

Understanding of software testing fundamentals and defect lifecycle
Basic to working knowledge of automation testing
Ability to write simple to moderate automation scripts
Knowledge of Selenium or Playwright
Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge
Basic to intermediate Python understanding
Good written and verbal communication
Strong attention to detail and logical thinking

Bonus points

Experience with JIRA or any bug tracking tool
Familiarity with Postman or REST APIs
Basic SQL knowledge
Exposure to cross browser or mobile app testing
Basic understanding of CI/CD or automation integration
