Python Developer

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Python Django Developer to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in developing scalable and maintainable web applications using Django, with hands-on expertise in writing and executing unit tests, API testing, and applying SOLID principles to ensure high-quality code. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python and Django. Write clean, efficient, and reusable code that adheres to best practices and SOLID principles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Perform unit testing and API testing to ensure software reliability, maintainability, and scalability. Optimize applications for performance and scalability. Participate in code reviews, sharing knowledge, and promoting best practices across the team. Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing applications. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in web development. Ensure applications meet security and data protection standards. Key Requirements: 4 to 9 years of professional experience in Python and Django web development. Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and integrating them with front-end frameworks. Solid understanding and application of software engineering principles, including SOLID principles. Experience in writing and executing unit tests using frameworks such as PyTest, unittest, or Django's testing framework. Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, Insomnia, or similar. Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and writing complex queries. Knowledge of front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is a plus. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools. Experience with Docker and containerized applications is a plus. Preferred Skills (Added Advantage): Insurance Domain Knowledge : Familiarity with the insurance industry and its specific software requirements. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with asynchronous programming in Python (Celery, asyncio). Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
