Python Developer - Hybrid - contractor in USD

For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for a Hybrid Python Developer to design and develop pipelines and programs by using Python language.

We are looking for a motivated contractor. Candidates need to be fluent in English.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Design, Develop and implement new Python pipelines, programs/applications, and prototypes;
• Integrate applications with external APIs, web services and legacy data sources;
• Estimate Design, Build, Test and implementation level of effort based upon requirements and design;
• Write Python programs for comparing file types and for processing different file formats viz. Json, XML, CSV, XLS etc;
• The project-focused Developer will work with the PM in developing python scripts for analyzing, comparing files, build integration;
• Develop Python scripts, trouble shoot/ fix existing scripts and tools, with focus on automation, integration and visualization;

Profile:

• Bachelor or Master degree;
• +5 years of relevant experience in design, build and development of Python based applications and programs;
• In-depth theoretical understanding and practical expertise regarding enterprise Information Management Systems;
• Ability to work individually, given a task/ problem, without having to rely for guidance in Python programming;
• Collaborate closely with other Python developers, on a need basis;
• Extensive understanding and knowledge of various python libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit, Beautiful Soup, Matplotlib etc;
• Troubleshooting & performance tuning of Python programs/ applications;
• All phases of software development life cycle including analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment;
• Strong Object-Oriented Program design and implementation skills;
• Strong Knowledge of Relational Databases, preferably Azure SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and design concepts;
• Fluent in English;
