Job Title: Purchase Executive / Coordinator (MIS & Vendor Management)
Location: Chandigarh
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Criteria for Shortlisting:
Excel Skills: Must know VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
Location: Chandigarh based (preferred).
Experience: Prior experience in handling vendor/3rd party calls and purchase data would be preferred.
Job Summary:
We are looking for two detail-oriented and proactive professionals to join our Purchase Department. The ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining Purchase MIS reports, tracking procurement data, and ensuring timely material delivery through rigorous follow-ups with vendors and third-party suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase MIS & Data Management:
1. Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly Purchase MIS reports.
2. Track Open Purchase Orders (POs) and update the status of pending deliveries.
3. Analyze procurement data using MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to assist the Purchase Manager in decision-making.
4. Maintain vendor master data and rate contracts in the system.
Vendor Follow-up & Coordination:
1. Coordinate with vendors, raw material suppliers, and 3rd party manufacturers to ensure timely dispatch of materials.
2. Resolve issues related to delayed shipments or shortages by maintaining constant communication with suppliers.
3. Coordinate with the internal Stores and Quality departments regarding material receipt and inspection.
Operational Support:
- Create and release Purchase Orders (POs) based on requirements.
- Assist in invoice processing and coordinate with the Accounts department for vendor payments.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of purchase records.
Candidate Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Com, B.Sc, B.A, or B.Tech).
· Experience: 1 to 4 years of experience in Purchase/Supply Chain (Experience in Pharma/FMCG/Manufacturing is a plus).
· Technical Skills: Strong command of MS Excel is mandatory (Formulas, Reporting). Knowledge of ERP software is an advantage.
· Soft Skills:
1. Strong follow-up and negotiation skills.
2. Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
3. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
