Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and control end-to-end site operations for primary, secondary, and commercial waste collection across all assigned zones in line with client contracts, SLAs, and municipal guidelines.
  • Ensure door-to-door waste collection with minimum 90% area coverage and consistent service quality across all operational zones.
  • Achieve and sustain 100% complaint resolution within defined timelines through effective coordination with field teams, supervisors, client representatives, and Nagar Nigam officials.
  • Lead and manage deployment of 200+ manpower including drivers, helpers, and supervisors, ensuring attendance, productivity, discipline, safety compliance, and performance tracking.
  • Design, implement, and continuously optimize route plans to improve coverage efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and avoid missed areas or service delays.
  • Manage the complete fleet of 75+ vehicles and 20 rickshaws including scheduling, fuel management, preventive maintenance, breakdown handling, statutory compliance, VTS uptime, IoT accuracy, and overall vehicle utilization.
  • Identify open dumping and depot points and ensure regular lifting and clearance to prevent garbage accumulation and public complaints.
  • Maintain field readiness at all times by ensuring availability of vehicles, manpower, tools, safety gear, uniforms, and other operational resources.
  • Act as the primary site-level representative of the company with Nagar Nigam, government departments, client officials, auditors, and other stakeholders, and build strong working relationships with Health Officers, Sanitation Inspectors, Engineers, and ward-level authorities.
  • Conduct regular coordination meetings with stakeholders and participate in review meetings, inspections, and surprise audits.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation, validation, and submission of all operational reports, MIS, dashboards, and portal updates (SBM, internal systems, VTS) with complete accuracy and transparency.
  • Handle partner and vendor management including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and compliance with service expectations.
  • Proactively identify operational risks including manpower gaps, route inefficiencies, technology issues, and compliance deviations, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead internal and external audits related to operations, safety, billing support data, VTS data, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate closely with Head Office for planning, performance reporting, escalations, approvals, and strategic decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through technology adoption, process optimization, and team capability building to enhance productivity and service quality.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, safety standards, data integrity norms, and ethical practices.
  • Handle crisis situations such as mass vehicle breakdowns, labour shortages, strikes, extreme weather disruptions, or high-level government escalations with professionalism and speed.

Technical & Reporting Responsibilities

  • Strong hands‑on working knowledge of:
    • SBM Portal
    • VTS dashboards
    • IoT tracking systems
    • Advanced Excel (MIS, dashboards, pivot tables, tracking sheets)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: Graduate (Engineering / Environmental Science / Management preferred)
  • Experience:
    • 6–10+ years in Solid Waste Management / Urban services / Infrastructure operations/logistics Operation
    • Minimum 3+ years in a site leadership or project management role
  • Industry Preference: Solid Waste Management, Municipal projects, Facility Management, Urban infrastructure, Logistics
  • Technical Skills: Excel (advanced), VTS systems, SBM portal
  • Language: Hindi mandatory, English working proficiency
